DESCRIPTION:A NAMI Educational Tool for Use in Schools\nEnding the Silence is an educational program to lessen stigma and raise awareness about mental illness among teenagers.  It is designed to be presented to high school health classes.  Attendees at this workshop will learn:\n\nThe elements of a stigma-reducing program for high school students.\nProven techniques to reach out to young audiences in your community to promote earlier intervention.\nAbout the effects of mental illness on adolescents.\n\nNAMI Butte County has just begun to start training individuals to present this course. If you are an individual living with mental illness and are under the age of 30, please consider joining with us to bring this powerful program to high school students in Butte County.\nIf you are interested in bringing this program to your High School, especially during a Health Class, please call NAMI Butte County at 530-894-8551\n
