NAMI Supportive House Campaign

We Would be so Grateful for Your Support!

Our project is procuring a start-up fund for a NAMI Supportive House. The goal is to provide a shared home for adult residents with a diagnosed mental illness. A waiting list would include a behavioral health screening with priority to NAMI members who have taken the NAMI “Peer-to-Peer Education Course.”

This home will be a sober living program where residents receive case management to link them to services in the community. Residents will be expected to participate in daily chores and engage in independent as well as group activities that promote living skills and self-sufficiency.

We have the complete program prepared and includes a budget, application, insurance requirements, lease agreement, house rules, duty list, activity planner, menu planner, etc.

Many parents who attend our NAMI Family Support group have adult children who are homeless. It is our duty to help those struggling with mental health issues as well as their families. This project is our opportunity to do just that.

This first supportive home will be located in Chico and modeled after the successful housing operated by the “Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing, Inc” in Placer County.
